WeTime ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the WeTime mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account
- Profile information: Display name, gender (optional), and profile preferences
- Partner data: When you pair with a partner, a shared couple record is created. Session history, streak data, weekly goals, and routine preferences are shared between both partners in a couple
- Session data: Records of sessions you complete including start time, end time, duration, and the routine used
- App blocking preferences: Lists of apps you choose to block during sessions. This list is stored on our servers and synced across your devices
- Usage data: Streak counts, session history, and weekly activity
- Device information: Push notification tokens to deliver alerts to your device
- Purchase information: Subscription status managed through Apple's in-app purchase system and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details
2. Screen Time and App Blocking
WeTime may request access to Apple's Screen Time and FamilyControls framework to block selected apps during your sessions. This feature:
- Requires your explicit permission before activation
- Only blocks the specific apps you select
- Only activates during active WeTime sessions
- The list of apps you choose to block is stored on our servers. App usage data and Screen Time metrics from your device are not transmitted to our servers
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the WeTime service
- To sync session data and streak information between you and your partner
- To send push notifications about sessions, streaks, and app activity
- To process subscription payments through Apple's in-app purchase system
- To improve the app and diagnose technical issues
- To send weekly summaries and streak reminders (can be disabled in settings)
4. Partner Data Sharing
WeTime is a couples app. When you pair with a partner, the following data is visible to both partners:
- Display name and profile photo
- Session history and duration
- Current streak and weekly activity
- Weekly goal
- Shared routines
- Recurring session schedules
The following data is never shared with your partner:
- Email address
- Account credentials
- Payment information
- Device identifiers
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you unpair from a partner, your shared couple data (sessions, streaks, routines) is archived for up to 90 days before permanent deletion. During this window, the data is inaccessible to both partners. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us.
When you delete your account, all personal data associated with your account is permanently deleted within 30 days.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to the two partners in your couple. We use row-level security policies to ensure no user can access another couple's data.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of marketing notifications at any time in Settings
- Export your session history (contact us to request)

9. Children's Privacy
WeTime is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of WeTime after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
